Special Chorus members - you can try out for the state honor choir!

Great Opportunity for Your Young Singer!
For the second time, the Kansas Music Educator’s Association is including an Elementary Honor Choir in its annual February conference weekend in Wichita, KS.   Olathe School District’s own Martha Gabel is a past president of KMEA and is working hard to increase the elementary school presence at this already outstanding teacher’s workshop.  Manchester Park singers are just the type of singers that this ensemble is seeking!
It is my pleasure to extend to ALL Timbernote Singers the opportunity to audition for this great ensemble this year.  We had 3 of our students make it into this choir last year, and it was a fantastic experience.  Information about the date and fees are included with this note.  Please remember that all transportation and fees are the responsibility of the choir member.
I am pleased to help our Manchester Park students put their best foot forward and make the audition process easy/accessible for everyone. Students that turn in a form will be encouraged to practice.  You can visit my YouTube channel here or Twitter account (@DarthScottMusic) for help with this song. Any student wishing to visit my classroom for additional help may do so. Once students feel prepared, they should come see me to make arrangements to come in during school to record their audition. After we record it, I will upload and submit their audition for them. Easy!
If your student is interested in auditioning for this premier ensemble, please return the attached information form, along with the $6 non-refundable audition fee in cash or check made payable to Olathe School District by Thursday, October 13.  Once a list of auditioners is established, we can get started practicing and recording our auditions.
